SAP Application Consultant (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:

Application Operations

• Support the day-to-day stability and functionality of the assigned SAP modules with main focus to an Add-on Workflow Tool and connected archive system through incident handling, problem analysis and timely followup.

• Contribute to keeping business-critical application processes available and effective.
  

User Support

• Provide 2nd-level support for users and key users in the European countries, answer questions and help resolve functional issues within the assigned scope.

• Ensure that support is service-oriented, pragmatic and well documented.

Enhancement Implementation

• Analyse service requests and smaller change requirements, prepare specifications and coordinate or implement approved changes.

• Participate in testing and ensure that adjustments work reliably in the broader application context.

Process Collaboration

• Work with module experts, senior consultants and business stakeholders on process
  improvements and harmonised ways of working.

• Help translate operational needs into workable application adjustments.

Project Contribution

• Participate in rollouts and application projects by supporting implementation, testing, user preparation and post-go-live stabilisation.

• Contribute to consistent deployment of new or improved solutions across Europe.
  

Documentation and Learning

• Maintain relevant documentation and continue building expertise in the assigned modules and processes.

• Escalate more complex or architecture-relevant issues appropriately and make use of senior support where needed.
  

Your profile:

• University degree or vocational qualification with relevant specialisation, or comparable practical background in IT and business applications.

• Initial relevant professional experience in SAP application support, process-related IT work or a comparable role.

• Strong IT-affinity and good understanding of business processes; willingness to deepen module expertise systematically.

• Structured way of working, service orientation and ability to cooperate effectively with users, colleagues and service partners.

• Good English skills; further language capabilities can be beneficial in the international environment.
